Antenatal Clinic
We run an antenatal clinic every Friday morning from 9.00am - 11.30am. It is run by one of the doctors with the help of the practice nurse/healthcare assistant.
The midwife also runs her clinic at the same time in the surgery.
Cervical Smears
Cervical smears are carried out in the surgery by the doctors or practice nurse. All our female patients aged between 24-49 will be invited to attend every three years and those between 50-64 every five years unless an early repeat is required following an abnormal result.
Child Health Surveillance Clinic
Appointments are offered at the end of our morning surgery each day for child development checks and immunisations.
An opportunity is also presented to discuss any other problems, eg sleeping, feeding or indeed any other health issues that may be causing concern.
Clinics Run By The Practice Nurse
Practice nurse clinics include: diabetic, stroke/TIA, coronary prevention, elderly health and hypertension.
Appointments for well patient checks, asthma, family planning, cervical smears, travel clinics, pregnancy/preconception advice clinics, child and adult immunisations and well persons clinics are made at the patient’s convenience.
